This review was written by Don Hogan. This restaurant is right next to Variety Playhouse. We were down to see George Thorogood with our friends Susan and Todd Folk and Beth located this place on the WEB. Chips and salsa are not complimentary as in most Mexican restaurants, the charge being $3. We had the chips and a side of guacamole ($4.50). The guacamole was fresh with chunks of avocado and tomato. The chips were worth the price as the were not the typical restaurant variety. Prices were reasonable, maybe that is why the charge for chips. I had a grilled fish burrito ($6.50), Beth had a green burrito ($6.50), Todd had a steak burrito ($6.50), and Susan had a Broccoli & rice quesadilla ($5.00). All of the food was good. They do not make frozen margaritas so we had to settle for the "on the rocks" variety. They were very good and we consumed two pitches before going to the Thorogood performance. All in all not bad. | This review was written by Don Hogan. The guacamole was fresh with chunks of avocado and tomato. The chips were tri colored and of good quality. We had the 1 liter Cadillac margarita that is served without ice. The waiter explained that you get more for your money that way even though the price was $26.50 for the liter. Food was OK. Beth had fish tacos and I had tamales. The tamales were mostly cornmeal. I still have not found really good tamales. We probably would go back but it is a little out of our way.
